the shapelessness required to belong (9.)

tell me,

          am I        dreaming
                                still?

                        through lungs
                                forgetful

                                          of the paths
                                          down which
                                          a dandelion’s bones
                                          are supposed to blow

                                  bleak            now

will the fields of my heart flower
with all that I once lent from wind

                                                  but nowhere else

                        nowhere                                else

                                                  does void collide
                                                                into gold.

        (I know nothing of love

          but angels,
sometimes swarm the corner of my eye

                        to ask the bug
entombed in a womb of tear

                        what forever looks like.)
