the inherent music of everything

(1.)

I wonder if parthenogenesis
was simply nothingness
deciding to sing.

(2.)

“this language of hope
is mute
but not silent.”

(3.)

imagine

all of existence
stretching out around you

everything, all at once
perpetually yet freely
taking the shape of a chain

like a song sung in canon

and that chain
is motion freed
from its inherent need
for shapelessness

and energy changing state
is simply motion
chained to motion

and starlight becoming dust
becoming starlight
becoming us

is simply
light and water
composing rainforests

and an audience
to hear it sing.

imagine motion itself
was all life
ensuring that the inherent music
of everything
could never end

as long as someone was listening.

(4.)

“this language of hope
is mute
but not silent.”

(5.)

now imagine
whole universes
withering from existence
simply because you weren’t thinking of anything

simply because you paid the birds no mind
nor the woods,
nor the oceans,
nor the mountains,
nor the wind,
nor anything within,

because you just blinked
the moonlight from your eye
whenever it crept in

because you
and you alone
forgot in time
that the song
by which a dying star
bid its goodbyes

is still being sung
by our blessed hearts
writhing
in a darkness of their own.

(7.)

“this language of hope
is mute
but not silent.”

(8.)

imagine whole universes
born waiting
for the day
when they will hear you
humming along again

imagine,
just imagine
being parthenogenesis
to them.

(9.)

“this language of hope
is mute
but not silent.”

“this language of hope
is mute
but not silent.”

“this language of hope
is mute
but not silent.”

and is calling
all of us stagnant voyagers
of the unseen tides

homeward
to life itself.
